ACCESS TO PUBLIC SERVICES BECOMES EASIER DUE TO DIGITALIZATION OF GOVERNMENT-CITIZEN INTERACTION
September 26 – The Moldovan Government approved new regulations that facilitate the interaction between citizens and the public sector based on digital tools. The regulations were drafted by the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization with the support of the public institution e-Governance Agency.
“The purpose of the new regulations is to reshape the interaction between beneficiaries and public service providers, switching the focus from the traditional paper-based interactions to the electronic tools”, mentioned Dumitru Alaiba, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization.
Thus, the new regulations provide for the digitization of IDs, driving licenses and vehicle registration certificates, which currently exist only in hard copy. Using EVO app, each person will be able to store, open and show his/her digital identity card, driving license and registration certificate.
Additionally, citizens will be able to submit their current vehicle registration application online and order delivery of the registration certificates and car plates using MDelivery.
Finally, notaries will be able to submit the application for registration of sale-purchase contracts and other real estate documents without having to go to the Public Services Agency.
According to the new regulations, it is no longer required to provide proof that the documents submitted via the integrated document management program have been signed electronically, as the verification process will be automated.
