EGA at the bilateral screening meeting Republic of Moldova - European Commission

The Director of the e-Governance Agency (EGA), Andrei Prisacar, participated in the Bilateral screening meeting for the Public Administration Reform Chapter, held on September 26, 2024, in Brussels, Belgium.

 

 The meeting reviewed the information describing the public administration reform agenda of the Republic of Moldova , including what is related to the delivery of public services and their modernization through digitalization.

 

 Members of the Working group on Public Administration Reform discussed the progress made in the area of public administration reform, the current regulatory and institutional framework, challenges and future plans. They provided details of the planned actions and commitments undertaken by the Republic of Moldova for the reform and development of public administration in line with the principles of public administration in the European area.

 

 The participants at the meeting positively appreciated the results achieved by the Moldovan institutions in the development of the e-governance ecosystem, emphasizing the need for mutual recognition of electronic signatures in the process of aligning the information systems and platforms of the Moldovan public administration to the communication standards, as well as the importance of ensuring the accessibility of services for the general public.

 

 Bilateral screening is an exercise through which the Republic of Moldova systematically presents to the European Commission the degree of harmonization of national legislation with that of the European Union, the legal framework and institutional capacities, future plans for the implementation of the acquis communautaire standards.
